If you saw with my eyes you’d see the world anew,
You’d feel differently about your life if you knew what I’ve been through,
Everything is perfect until you’re shown the flaws,
Everything is peachy until someone breaks the laws,
When you’re closed inside a box and there is not a light,
You believe that life’s lived blind without the need of sight,
They say you don’t know what you have until it is gone,
Many think that they’re on top until the world names them a pawn,
There was once a man who looked only straight ahead,
A metaphor for the lives we live something that I once read,
I used to know a prophet who was oh so very wise,
Three fingers means you’re blind he said but he didn’t mean your eyes,
I will remember this mans message until the day I see the light,
Because I know the things which I believe will not always be right.
