When The Clouds Part Ways

When the clouds part ways to open up the sky,
It unlocks the door to explore the deepest depths of my mind,
The endless blue going further than my eyes can see,
And I glance upon the sun that so gently shines on me,
The beautiful green grass gives contrast to this amazing view,
While the glint on the water is of the most extraordinary hue,
Birds fly by bringing with them moments of shade,
Temporarily changing this work of art that the world has made,
Trees seem to slightly sway with the rhythm of the breeze,
This is a moment in time that I wish that I could freeze,
The kind of thing you remember many years down the line,
Because in all of your life this instant is definitely one of a kind,
Close my eyes and relax and cherish this simple gift,
Because moments like this seem to go away much too swift.
